Following Jesus – Making Disciples – Changing the World

“We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord” – (Psalm 78:4)

God is calling the next generation to Himself for His great purposes!  Journey Youth exists to help today’s youth become fully committed disciples of Jesus who are passionate about evangelizing and discipling the members of their own generation.  We focus on pursuing this in the following ways:

  • Journey Youth – Middle and High School students gather for awesome fun, and authentic fellowship with each other and digging into God’s Word in real and transformational ways.
Middle School Students — Meet Sunday mornings during the 10am service in the Youth Room.
High School Students meet Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm at Joel and Beka Johnson’s house. We are currently in Francis Chan’s video study on the book of James.
  •  Summer Camp – MS and HS students from Journey and Fox Island Alliance are headed to Warm Beach Camp from August 13-16! We’ll dive into scripture together, explore what it means to follow Christ in the hallways of our schools, climb towers, canoe creeks, swim, horseback ride, zipline, and more! Register here to secure your spot. Of course, we’re not leaving anyone behind! Scholarships and fundraising are available for all participants, so invite your friends and neighbors and don’t sweat the numbers. Talk to Joel on Sunday or send him an email at with questions.
  • Basic Training – Discipleship training is available in the “Basics of the Faith.” We want every member of our body to be “prepared to give a reason for the hope we have.” If you are interested in exploring the “Basics of the Faith” and how to share them with others, talk with Joel about setting up a study.
  • Group Activities – Periodically, our youth get together for some amazingly fun activities like snow-tubing, paintball or glow-in-the-dark frisbee golf.  These activities are a great way to meet new friends and have a blast!
