Operation Christmas Child

Hello Journey,
 
As the Christmas season approaches, we are partnering with Operation Christmas Child.  This is a ministry from Samaritan's Purse that sends shoe boxes of gifts and school supplies around the world.  In addition to delivering these gifts, Samaritan's Purse also follows up with the families to share the gospel.  We will have shoe boxes available starting this week at Journey.  Please feel free to take as many boxes as you would like to fill.  To include your $10 shipping donation, please use the following link https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/label-options, and go to "Printable Labels."  This will allow you to both print your mailing label for your box and make your $10 shipping donation directly on the Samaritan's Purse website.We will need all boxes collected by Sunday, November 17th.  For questions, please contact Cameron Cox.  To learn more about Operation Christmas Child please watch the following video link Operation Christmas Child Overview 2024

Navigating LGBTQ is a comprehensive video course, answering tough questions Christians face today concerning the LGBTQ topic. In this course, CHANGED shares insights from science, scripture and from their personal experiences of leaving LGBTQ behind. They demystify LGBTQ and offer practical wisdom on how any Christian can respond to LGBTQ with love and truth.

Church Wide Scripture Study

The Big Idea: Journey is offering a one-year Bible-reading program to the entire Journey family. Basically, this is an opportunity to get rooted in God's Word as a church family. This is also a chance for us to "stir up one another to love and good works" (Heb. 10:24). Here's how it works:

1. You'll get all the Bible readings for the upcoming week in Journey Weekly.

2. Use the S.O.A.P. Bible Study Method to study God's Word daily.

3. Journey leaders will hold get-togethers a few times a year to check in with folks to see how their time in God's Word is going. This will be a time of encouragement and discernment as we talk about how God has been at work in your life through His Word. We will let you know the day and time for these get-togethers.

Aaaaand...GO! Be blessed as you dig into God's Word and put it into practice (Lk. 11:27-28).
