The health and safety of our Journey Family is a top priority, and in these unprecedented times, this priority continues to guide our organizational decisions. Today we learned that one of our Journey Family has shown symptoms of COVID-19. This individual has been tested for COVID-19 infection. Also, another Journey member with whom they were in recent contact has been tested as well. Until their infection status is clarified, we want to make sure that our Journey Family understands the steps we are taking to ensure your health and safety.
Although the majority of COVID-19 tests come back negative, in an abundance of caution we have decided to cancel Journey’s October 4th in-person worship this weekend. As we did in the spring we will be recording our services and posting them to our YouTube Channel, Facebook page and web page. The prayer walk scheduled for this Sunday, October 4th, has also been postponed.
We want to stress that there are no positive COVID test results as of right now. Our actions are precautionary. If anyone connected to Journey actually tests positive for COVID-19, we will initiate at that time our COVID-19 infection prevention, management and communication protocols. This will include communication via several different channels to our Journey Family.
We understand that you may have questions and concerns, and we will update you as we move forward. We reiterate our commitment to the health and safety of our Journey family. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time!
